What is Microsoft Copilot and what does the Copilot course teach?
The course introduces Microsoft 365 Copilot, an AI-powered assistant integrated with Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
You’ll learn how to use Copilot to generate documents, summarise texts or emails, automate repetitive tasks, draft presentations, analyse data, and streamline workflows using natural-language prompts.
Who is the Copilot course designed for?
It is aimed at everyday business users, office staff, professionals, and teams who want to leverage AI to boost productivity, no prior AI experience is needed.
If you already use Microsoft 365 apps and want to work smarter (less manual work, faster document creation, better collaboration), this course would suit you.
What skills will I gain after completing the Copilot course?
By the end of the course you should be able to:
Use Copilot in various Microsoft 365 apps to draft, summarise, and edit content (documents, emails, presentations, reports).
Automate and streamline repetitive tasks, for example generating documents, cleaning up data, summarising long emails or meeting notes, creating visuals or reports.
Use AI-driven workflows for collaboration, communication, data handling, and productivity, boosting efficiency and reducing manual workload.
Do I need to have previous AI or advanced IT skills to take this course?
No. The course is built for regular Microsoft 365 users. Basic familiarity with Word, Excel, Outlook or similar is helpful, but the training does not require prior programming or AI knowledge.
Which Microsoft 365 apps does Copilot integrate with (and will the course cover them)?
Copilot integrates with a range of Microsoft 365 apps including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, OneNote, and more.
The course usually covers how to use Copilot across many of these apps, enabling you to draft documents, analyse data, summarise emails, collaborate, and generate content depending on your needs.
Is any special license or software required to use Copilot after training?
Yes, to fully benefit from Microsoft 365 Copilot features you need a compatible Microsoft 365 subscription/license (or a license that includes Copilot for enterprise/education).
Once licensed, Copilot can be accessed from within your Microsoft 365 apps, making it a seamless addition to your existing workflow.
If you have an Enterprise Microsoft Office 365 account you’ll have a slightly watered down version of Copilot, but you can still do about 85% of the tasks in the course.
